Minister of Justice Nasredeen Abdulbari has welcomed the visit of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Karim Khan, and the accompanying delegation.
This came when the minister met here today the visiting ICC Prosecutor and the accompanying delegation.
The Minister of Justice congratulated Mr. Khan on his election to the position of Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, pointing out that today’s meeting is a continuation to previous meetings that took place in the framework of cooperation between the Government of Sudan and the ICC.
He affirmed keenness of the transitional government on realization of justice in Sudan and working with the ICC to achieve justice for the victims of the war in Darfur.
For his part, the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court expressed thanks to the Ministry of Justice for coordination between the Court and all Sudanese government agencies, stressing the importance of taking practical steps to bring justice to the victims of the war in Darfur and to hold accountable those responsible for the crimes committed against them.
