The Chief of Staff, Gen. Mohamed Osman Al-Hussein, and his Egyptian counterpart, Lt. Gen. Mohamed Farid Hijazi, along with commanders of the Armed Forces of the two countries will attend on Sunday the conclusion of joint drills of the Nile Eagles (2) at Gen. Awad Khalafalla Air Base in Merowe area, the Northern State.
The Commander of the Sudanese Air Forces, Lt. Gen. (Pilot) Isam-Eddin Saeed Kuku, said that the joint drills of the Sudanese and Egyptian Air Forces are taking place with participation of Ground and Special Forces of the two countries.
He indicated that these drills are being carried out in accordance with the agreements signed between the two countries, adding that these exercises aim to exchange experiences and to enhance the training in the areas of planning and implementation.
The Commander of the Sudanese Air Forces pointed out that the Air Forces are protecting the Sudanese air space from any direct targeting to the strategic sites and aborting any air attacks against the homeland’s security and stability.
