-Minister of Foreign Affairs ,Dr Mariam Al Sadiq Al Mahdi and Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Dr Jibril Ibrahim on Monday co-chaired meeting that brought officials of the two ministries together to put urgent arrangement s for implementation of priorities of the transitional government and financial commitments for foreign mission and the regional and international organizations.
The meeting which was held at Foreign Ministry premises , deliberated over integration of roles between the two ministries regarding implementation of government’s decision top of which is unifying the rate of exchanges to recover the economy, curb fluctuation of rate of exchange , attract foreign investments , normalize relations with regional and international organizations and development of diplomatic work.
The meeting also deliberated over creating appropriate work environment for directorates of Ministry of Foreign Affairs , foreign missions and payment of Sudan’ subscriptions to regional and international organizations inherited from the defunct regime
The meeting also pointed to government’s keenness to improve the economic situation by utilizing the climate of transition and foreign openness the Sudan has seen for working out economic policies encouraging development and progress in all fields.
The tow Ministers adopted at end of the meeting holding a regular meeting between the two Ministries to follow up implementation of the joint action plan.
The meeting was attended, beside Ministers of Foreign and Finance , by Undersecretary of Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning , the Budget Director, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary and Assistant Undersecretary and directors of departments at Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
