Hamdok Affirms Sudan Commitment to Cooperation with UN

Khartoum, (SUNA) – Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hamdok, has affirmed Sudan keenness to strengthen its cooperation and coordination with the United Nations, appreciating the international organization’s support to all the government activities and programs in the field of social development in Sudan.

This came when he received in his office Sunday the visiting UN Secretary General, Amina Mohamed, who said in a press statement that the meeting discussed the priorities of the transitional civilian government, top of them is the stoppage of war and realization of peace, assuring the UN support to these priorities.

She pledged to convey all the positive indicators of the Sudanese transitional government to the international community.

The UN Deputy Secretary General said that she will meet during her two-day visit with government officials and representatives of the civil society organizations, adding that she will visit Darfur to be informed on the situation there.
