Germany Expresses Concern for Investment in Sudan

Khartoum  (SUNA)- Minister of Energy and Mining Enj.Adil Ali Ibrahim has discussed with the German ambassador to Khartoum, Mr.  Ulrich Klockner  that Germany may possibly expand its electricity investment opportunities in sector.

The minister says the electricity is one of vital sectors and it has an importance role in economic development for it increases production and maintains industrial expansion.

The minister praises the existence of Siemens company in Sudan calling other German companies to come and have investment in electricity sector.

For his part the German ambassador highlights the role of Germany for encouraging its companies to invest in Sudan particularly in energy sector and the renewal energy.

The ambassador cited implementation of projects by German company in constructing thermal power at Gayli and Gari(3) stations northward of Khartoum besides  another one at Post Sudan in Red Sea State.

The ambassador predicts possible entry of modern technology and training of  the Sudanese cadres in the respective field through joint projects.
