The Deputy Executive Director of El-Fashir Locality Salah-Edin Abdal-Aziz El-Benjawy has discussed on Tuesday with the Construction Expert at the German Organization working in the field of agriculture in North Darfur State, the arrangements necessary to implement the projects of the organization in some areas in the locality , which aim to provide drinking water and improve ways of livilihood within pachages of projects to be implemented by the German organization in the state, at a total cost of $ 4 million, as of the beginning of next March. The water establishment expert at the German organization, Stack Kaynma, said that his organization would start building a water dam in Umm Maraheek, 30 km north of El-Fashir, after field visits and technical studies that the organization conducted to that area, in addition to the implementation of a number of other service projects, adding that the implementation of that project comes within the organization’s program for the year 2020, which targets the localities of El-Fash-r, Kutum, Malit, Al-Kuma and Al-Wahah, where the organization provides its services in the fields of animal resources, agriculture, water and health; along with the peacebuilding projects and livelihoods improvement, announcing the establishment of (5) reservoirs, (5) hand pump and (10) WCs in schools. For his part, the Deputy Executive Director of Al-Fashir Locality stressed the importance of these projects in supporting the voluntary return of the displaced persons (IDPs) and pushing forward the development process and stability in the locality and the state as a whole.
