Fund raising campaign for rehabilitation of Gezira Scheme

The Gezira Scheme Governor, Dr. Omer Mohamed Marzuq has affirmed  that the state is  concerned  over  supporting Gezira Scheme under the direct supervision of  the  Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk.

This came when the Governor announced during the Higher Follow-up Committee meeting held today in Barakat aims at implementing the rehabilitation program of the Scheme.

Dr.Marzuq said the rehabilitation program will begin next week in the context of the National Campaign for Rehabilitate of the Scheme.

The Governor pointed out that efforts are continuing for raising more funds to rehabilitate the Scheme’s infrastructure in order that it could support the Sudanese national economy.
