The new UNICEF Representative to Sudan, Ms. Mandeep O’Brien, Wednesday delivered her credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mariam Al-Saddiq Al-Mahdi.
Ms. Mandeep O’Brien has worked for the United Nations during the past 21 years, through across three agencies, in South Asia, East Asia, the Middle East and UNICEF Headquarters.
She lately served as the UNICEF Representative in the Islamic Republic of Iran since 2019, responsible for leading, managing and implementing the Country Assistance Program for Children in an evolving context of multiple crises including sanctions and COVID-19 with Iran being the most affected country in the Middle East and North Africa.
