Foreign Minister launches African tour by Comoros

Khartoum,   (SUNA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Maryam Al-Sadig, arrived in Moroni, the capital of the Comoros Union.

The Foreign Minister was received by her counterpart, Dahir Zul-Kamal, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Comoros, the director of the president’s office and the deputy interior minister, and held talks with her counterpart on the overall bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to develop them in all fields.

the Foreign Minister will meet during the visit with the President of the Comoros, Ghazali Othmani, whose country represents the East African countries in the African Union Council that sponsors the Renaissance Dam negotiations.

It is worth noting that the visit comes in framework of an African tour to explain Sudan’s position on the necessity of concluding a binding and legal agreement on the Renaissance Dam, and to warn on danger of the second filling of the dam lake to Sudan.
