FM Lauds Egyptian response to support floods-affected people

Khartoum,  (SUNA) – Foreign Minister, Dr. Mariam Al-Sadig Al-Mahdi, on Tuesday received the Egyptian Ambassador to Khartoum Hussam Issa and discussed with him the bilateral relations and he possible means for supporting the Transitional Period.

The minister, during the meeting, thanked Egypt for the immediate response through launching of the air bridge to deliver the humanitarian assistances to the floods-affected people in the country, affirming the start of implementation of the matrix of joint issues and spheres of cooperation, besides the bilateral agreements.

The Egyptian diplomat affirmed his country’s firm support and desire to strengthen cooperation in all fields and coordinate stances and exchange support in the international forums.

He further, affirmed the continuation of the Egyptian government support to Sudan with special emphasis on the strategic projects, especially, the electricity inter-connection project between the two countries.
