Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Relationship between Sudan and Ethiopia Fraternal

Addis Ababa, Nov. 23 (SUNA) The Ethiopian State Minister of Foreign Affairs  Hirut Zemene, noted that the relationship between the Sudan and Ethiopia is fraternal, adding that the economy between the two countries is growing annually.

In statement to SUNA Zemene pointed out during the visit of the Sudanese People’s Diplomacy Delegation to the Unity Park in Addis Ababa, Saturday that the relationship between the two countries is fraternal, noting to the official and popular warm reception to the Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed during his last visit to Sudan.

Zemene explained that the park was established by the idea of ​​Abiy Ahmed, adding that seven leaders lived in the place which aims to communicate knowledge and how leaders should treat their peoples, pointing out that the site is now open to provide knowledge to the current and future generations on that civilization.

On his part, the Secretary of the Arab and African Department of the Council of Popular Friendship, Dr. Omar Atta Al Mannan, affirmed that the peoples’ relations between the two brotherly countries Sudan and Ethiopia is eternal, calling on the Ethiopian Foreign Minister to send the Ethiopian People’s Diplomacy delegation to visit Sudan soon.

It is worth noting that the Unity Park was built on an idea of the Ethiopian M Abiy Ahmed in the year 2010, and includes the building of the Grand Palace, which was established in 1992.

The park consists of 6 phases and includes the lions Garden, the Ethiopian Botanical Garden, and the Green Zone in addition to the palaces’ group of the Emperor Menelik, the Throne Court, the Banquet Hall and the Regions area.

It is worth noting that this building is more than 130 years old and, was built of leather and wood by an Indian engineer, the banquet hall receives more than 8,000 people to enjoy the Ethiopian food, and the garden is on the highest area in Addis Ababa.
