deputy head of the Democratic Unionist Party, origin, Maulana Mohammed Al-Hassan Al-Mirghani, met today, Dr. Jibril Ibrahim, head of the Justice and Equality Movement, at his home in Khartoum.
The two sides discussed the current situation, and asserted the need for a consensus of political and societal forces and the armed struggle movements in order to make the transitional period successful to reach a transparent and fair elections.
The two parties agreed to continue to work with all political forces in order to unify the internal front and build peace, emphasizing to made every effort to unify the Sudanese people on a project that would secure the country its unity and the cohesion of its social components.
The meeting also reviewed the economic situation, the measures that contribute to solving the crisis, and the two parties’ economic vision.
The meeting in which the leaders from the Democratic Unionist Party, the origin, and the Justice and Equality Movement have agreed to continue meetings and communication to activate the work of their joint committee to achieve consensus.
