Dr. Idriss calls on peace partners to support DDR and Transitional Period

Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Chairman of the Revolutionary Front, Dr. Al-Hadi Idriss has affirmed that the Disarmament, Demobilization and Re-integration Process (DDR) is process of transferring fighters from the state of war to peace and reintegrating them in the community as effective producers through a long process that requested patience and big resources and capabilities.

Dr. Idriss addressing the inaugural session of the DDR Sensitization course for the peace partners, at Salam Rotana, Tuesday, appealed to the peace partners to provide financial and technical support the Transitional Government and the DDR to implement Juba Peace Agreement.

Meanwhile, Minister of Defense Maj-General, Yassin Ibrahim said the government is responsible for caring the EX-Combatants by provision of honorable life.

The minister has called on the parties to the peace agreement to benefit from the DDR programs and projects.
