Dr. Hamdouk receives leaders of peace parties

Khartoum (SUNA)  – The Transitional Prime Minister met, Sunday, at the Council of Ministers,  the leaders of the Armed Struggle Movements who arrived in Khartoum Sunday.

 Dr. Hamdouk in brief speech described, the meeting as a truly historical symbolism and truth, “Personally, I no longer find words to express my feelings and my happiness at the meeting.”

He stressed the necessity for maintaining Sudan’s unity as it considered an issue of a top priority.

“The first step towards ending the suffering of the internally displaced people has already started” He said.

The Prime Minister has underlined that it’s the first time we realized peace that addresses the root causes of the Sudanese problems,, referring to the challenges facing the government including the economic difficulties, COVID-19, building of the government institutions and the completion of the Transitional period.

The leaders of the parties to the peace process arrived in Khartoum, Sunday and addressed a mass rally at the Hurriya Square.
