Juba (SUNA) – The Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hamdouk, stated that the signing of the peace agreement between the government and the Revolutionary Front will pave the way for the building of the Sudanese state and will lead to a stable state and a democratic future.

He said in his address to the ceremony in Juba on Monday 31st August for the initial of the peace agreement that the peace-making process is not a negotiation, but rather a deep discussion and a transparent dialogue between partners in the homeland and the revolution.

He said that the peace negotiations continued day and night for a long time, because the issues under discussion were complex and many.

The Prime Minister has called on Abdul-Aziz Al-Hillo and Abdul-Wahid Mohamed Nour to join the peace process.

He expressed thanks, on behalf of the government of Sudan, to the government and people of the Republic of South Sudan for the efforts they exerted to achieve peace in Sudan, stressing that there will not be stability in Sudan without stability in South Sudan, and that there will not be stability in South Sudan without stability in Sudan.

Dr. Hamdouk said that stability in the two countries will pave the way for achieving development for the benefit of the two peoples and will lead to economic integration between two countries that share joint geographical borders and an extended common history, affirming Sudan determination to cement the bilateral relations for the interest of the two countries.
