Dr. Hamdok Leaves for Brussels

Khartoum,  (SUNA) – The Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hamdok, Sunday morning left for Brussels heading a high-level delegation which comprised a number of ministers at the invitation of the European Union leadership.

He was seen off at Khartoum Airport by the Cabinet Affairs Minister, Ambassador Omer Manis.

In a press statement, the acting Charge d’Affaires at Sudan Embassy to Belgium, Hamid Al-Jizouli, said that the Prime Minister would meet in Brussels with senior officials in the European Union and will give a briefing to the European Union’s ministerial council on the political developments in Sudan, the ongoing efforts to achieve a comprehensive and jus and the transitional government’s vision for leading in the coming stage.

Al-Jizouli stated that the visit of Dr. Hamdok to Brussels comes in an important timing in Sudan history following success of the glorious December Revolution and formation of the transitional government’s institutions, stressing that the European Union has been a major supporter for the change process in Sudan, a matter which was reflected in the statements issued by its different institution in support of the glorious December Revolution.
