Daglo Informed on Situation at Gezira Scheme

The First Vice – President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, has received the Governor of Gezira Scheme, Dr. Omer Mohamed Marzouq, and got informed on the situation at the Gezira Scheme and problems facing it.

Daglo has affirmed the government support to Gezira Scheme and its keenness to restore it to its first situation as a pillar of the national economy.

In a press statement, the Governor of Gezira Scheme said that he briefed the Vice – President of the Transitional Council on the great deterioration in the scheme, especially regarding the infrastructures and irrigation system.

He expressed thanks to the First Vice – President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council for his donation of 10 vehicles to help supporting the arrangements for the cultivation season at Gezira Scheme.
