Daglo Calls for Expediting Implementation of South Sudan Peace Agreement

President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, and the Advisor of South Sudan President, Tut Gulwak, reviewed through a phone call on Monday progress of the implementation of South Sudan peace agreement.

The First Vice President has called on the leadership of the Republic of South Sudan to expedite the completion of the outstanding provisions of the peace agreement, represented in the graduation of the joint integrated forces, formation of the national parliament and the states’ councils and completion of the procedures for the constitution.

Daglo has praised President Salva Kiir’s decisions to dissolve the parliament to pave the way for its re-formation in accordance with the peace agreement, stressing his confidence in the resolution of the peace parties to move forward in completing the implementation of the agreement and overcoming all difficulties.
