Committee clarifies the circumstances of arrest of Mohammed Ali Osman Mohammed Taha

Khartoum, May 30 (SUNA) – The Committee for Dismantling June 30 1989 system and the Restoration of Public Money has clarified the circumstances of the arrest warrant issued against the son of defendant, Ali Osman Mohammed Taha the former Vice-President of the toppled President, Omar Al-Basher.

The Committee said in press statement issued, Sunday that it arrested, Saturday, May 29, Mohammed Ali Osman Mohammed Taha according to suit No. (90) under Articles (13-14) of the Law of Dismantle the System of the 30th of June 1989 and Removal  Empowerment for the Year 2019 Amended 2020, and the accused was placed in custody.

The statement pointed out that these procedures were carried out after the aforementioned refused to implement the committee’s decision to handover the property No. (135), Al-Jerif, west of Al-Mansheya, for the benefit of the Government of Sudan.
