Chief Justice Receives Deputy UN Secretary General

Khartoum, (SUNA) – The Chief Justice, Neimat Abdalla Mohamed Khair, received in her office Sunday the visiting Deputy UN Secretary General, Amina Mohamed, and the accompanying delegation in presence of a number of the heads of the Judiciary departments.

The Chief Justice welcomed the UN Deputy Secretary General and the accompanying delegation, describing their visit as a boost to all the African female chiefs justice.

Amina has congratulated the Chief Justice on her appointment, stressing that her appointment is a pride in Africa, a real addition to justice and an important element in the march of African, Arab and international women.

She affirmed that that the United Nations will give all support to the Judiciary and that its office will be open through its representatives in Khartoum, indicating that the UN will provide several internal and external training opportunities for the judiciary to raise the efficiency of the Sudanese judges.
