Al-Tayshi meets Chairman of EU mission in Sudan

The Member of the Sovereignty Council (TSC), Mohammed Hassan Al-Tayshi has affirmed the transitional government commitment to realize peace and democratic transition in the country.

Al-Tayshi who received, Sunday, at his office, in the Republican Palace, the Chairman of the European Union Mission in Sudan, Robert Van Dool lauded the EU stances supporting peace process and the democratic transition in the country.

The EU Official affirmed in press statements that the meeting discussed a number of major issues, top of which, the recent initiative of the Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hamdouk on the realization of the political consensus and democratic transition in Sudan, referring to the international community support to the initiative.

He said the EU looks forward to work with the TSC to realize peace and democratic transition in Sudan, expressing hope that the government and the non-signatories of the movements of armed struggle will reach an agreement.
