Al-Taishi: Technical arrangements for Governance Conference completed

Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) Mohamed Hassan Al-Taishi has affirmed that the technical arrangements related to the preparation for the Conference on Governance and Administration have been completed.

In an interview to Sudan News Agency (SUNA), Al-Taishi said that the Governance and Administration System Conference is an integrated process that includes  a technical workshop that would be held to discuss all issues related to the system of government in the Sudan in the first stage.

Al-Taishi explained that second stage of the conference is of consultations at the grass-root levels with various sectors in Sudan, and it will continue for a period of 7 days, explaining that the third stage is the stage of collecting the basic papers and holding the conference, which would be attended by more than 500 people representing the various political and social sectors in Sudan.

He explained that the conference would discuss basic topics: They are the system and levels of government, governance structures, the distribution of powers for the different levels, fiscal federalism and the borders between the various regions, indicating that these five points are related to the answer to the question of how Sudan is governed.
