Al-Taayeshi Addresses Celebration of Revolutionary Front To Juba Peace Agreement

Khartoum (SUNA) – Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Mohamed Hassan Al-Taayeshi, pointed out that he peace agreement that will be signed on October 3 is a development agreement because it addressed the development imbalances caused by the irrational management of resources in Sudan.

Addressing a celebration held Thursday at the Friendship Hall by the Revolutionary Front to the initial signing of the peace agreement in Juba, Al-Taayeshi praised the efforts of the Sudanese people to reach a comprehensive peace that addresses the issues of historical grievances for all people, especially the grievances of the rural areas all over the country, indicating that the celebration of the Revolutionary Front on Thursday coincides with the African Union’s declaration that the year 2020 will be the last year for war and the use of violence as a means of protest.

He said that by the signing the comprehensive peace agreement, Sudan will be the first country in Africa to implement the motto of the African Union to end the war and close the outlets for armed protest for getting rights.

The member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council congratulated the Sudanese people, especially the displaced persons, refugees, youth and women, on the International Day of Peace and for the accomplishment of the first step towards achieving comprehensive and complete peace in Sudan.

He stressed that the glorious December Revolution has placed the agenda of war and peace in the top of the national agenda, and managed to correct the wrong side in the history of the national political movement in the country.
