Al-Kinan receives head of UNITAMS,

Gezira State Wali (governor) Dr.  Abdullah Idris Al-Kinain received at his office today in Medani Dr. Volker Perthes Head of United Nations Integrated Transition Assistance Mission in Sudan (UNITAMS) and the Representative of FAO Babagana Ahmadu.

The meeting discussed means of enhancing cooperation between Gezira state and FAO in the field of agriclture and  animal resouces.

Dr. Al-Kinain stressed the importance of supporting the state in order to develop services in field of education, health and rehabilitation of Gezira scheme.

UNITAMS Chief on his part said the visit to Gezira state came in the context of getting acquainted on development projects established in a number of states in the country and work for implementing and developing agriculture   and industrial projects in the country.
