The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lt. Gen. Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan, Monday received a phone call from the Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Mohamed bin Salman bin Abdul-Aziz.
Al-Burhan and the Saudi Crown Prince reviewed in the phone call the declaration on both the “Green Saudi Arabia” and the “Green Middle East” initiatives, which represents embodiment to the Kingdom’s leadership in dealing with the pressing global issues, and the ambitious included in the initiatives to reducing the carbon emission and enhancing the public health and the quality of life, by planting 50 billion trees, improving the efficiency of the oil production and raising the rates of renewable energy, and subsequently the resulting major economic benefits, creating a large number of jobs and achieving sustainable economic development.
The President of the Sovereignty Council has welcomed the Saudi initiative, which would benefit the region and the world, expressing Sudan willingness to work with Saudi Arabia to make this initiative a success and to achieve its goals.
