The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan, has appreciated the great role being played by the native administration in keeping security and achieving societal stability.
During his meeting Saturday with a delegation of Maaliya tribe of Eastern Darfur State, Al-Burhan called for uniting efforts and visions and working together for the sake of ensuring security, unity and stability in the state.
He promised to help solving all the issues facing farmers in East Darfur, indicating that the agricultural season requires working in a collective spirit and a safe environment to guarantee its success.
The Maaliya tribe gave a briefing to the President of the Sovereignty Council on the societal conditions, problems and obstacles facing farmers, especially in Umm Karinka and Adeela Localities, indicating that the recent events have caused some tensions that threaten the start of the agricultural season in Eastern Darfur State.
