Al-Burhan Affirms Need to Realize National Interests

Khartoum (SUNA) – President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lt. Gen. Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan, stressed that the step to establish relations with Israel came after consultations with all the Sudanese parties, indicating that 90% of the political forces did not express any objection to the normalization with Israel when they were consulted.

Interviewed by Sudan Satellite Channel, Lt. Gen. Al-Burhan expressed the need to change the idea about Sudan by the pursuing to the national interests and not to antagonize anyone.

He said that the normalization of relations with Israel makes the international community deal with Sudan as a normal country.
