Advisor of South Sudan President Concludes Visit to Khartoum

Khartoum,   (SUNA) – The Advisor of South Sudan President for Security Affairs and head of South Sudan mediation, Tut Galwak, accompanied by South Sudan Foreign Affairs and Investment Ministers, Monday concluded a two-day visit to Sudan.

He was seen off at Khartoum Airport by the Secretary General of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Mohamed Al-Ghali Ali Yousif, and the Ambassador of the Republic of South Sudan to Khartoum.

During his visit to Khartoum, Galwak has met with the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan, and a number of the council members.

It is be noted that Galwak visited Sudan in response to a directive of the President of the Republic of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit, to be informed on progress of the implementation of the Juba Agreement for the Peace in Sudan through its set mechanisms, and to discuss the schedule of the upcoming rounds of negotiations between the government and the SPLM – North led by Abdul-Aziz Al-Hillu, to complete the peace file
