​​​​​​​FM Receives EU Representative for the Horn of Africa

Foreign Minister, Dr. Mariam Al-Sadig Al-Mahdi received, Thursday, at her office, the visiting EU Representative for the Horn of Africa, Annette Weber.

The minister, during the meeting, affirmed the Sudan-EU firm relations, explaining the situations in the region, Sudan’s relations with the neighboring countries and its efforts to maintain peace and stability in the region.

Dr. Mariam expressed Sudan’s concern over the situations in Ethiopia and the efforts being exerted by Sudan to solve the dispute via the initiative of Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hmdouk, stressing the necessity for supporting peace and stability in Libya, Republic of South Sudan and Chad in cooperation with the regional and international partners.

The minister explained Sudan’s position over the Ethiopian Renaissance Dam and its adherence to reach binding and legal agreement for the three concerned parties.
