Warag: We are ready to exchange trade with South Sudan:

Kosti,   (SUNA) White Nile State Wali ( governor) Ismail Fath – Al-Rahman Warag has renewed readiness of the state to resume exchange of trade between Sudan and South Sudan through river transport..

He pointed out that White Nile State gives special concern on border trade between the two countries because it has big economic return for the interests of the two people especially for communities residing along the border strip.

This came when the Wali received today at Rabak town the Sudanese Customs Authority  delegation chaired by Maj. General (Police) Mohamed Badri Al-Sinari in the  presence of while Nile state Police Director Maj. General Osman Mohamed Fadalmula and the Director of Customs in  the state Brig Mohamed Nasr Abdalla.

Warag said his state has strategic vision based of establishing a number of development projects on the border strip and creating integrated policy to develop the bilateral relations between the two countries.

On his part the head of customs delegation, said the visit   to the White Nile State comes as continuation to the state’s efforts on resumption of trade with South Sudan and to determine the progress on the Sudanese Customs Authority’s border station in the White Nile to resume commercial work with South Sudan.

It is to be noted that the two countries determined October, 16, 2021 for the beginning to exchange trade between the two countries from While Nile state
