SRF’s Leaders To Arrive Khartoum on November 15

Juba (SUNA) – The government delegation headed by Lieutenant General Shams Eddin Kabbashi, the member of the Transitional Sovereign Council and the leaders of the Revolutionary Front, who signed the Juba Peace Agreement, held an important meeting today at the Pyramid Hotel in Juba in the presence of the Southern Sudan’s Mediation Committee team led by Counselor Tut Galwak for the  setting of a new  date for the arrival of leaders of the RF and the armed struggle movements to Khartoum.

The head of the South  Sudan’s  Mediation Committee, Counselor Tut Galwak, announced in a press statement following the meeting that the two parties have agreed to set the 15th of next November as a new date for the arrival of the leaders of the SRF in Khartoum to celebrate the signing of the peace agreement.

He added that all the parties of the peace process, the mediation committee and peace partners will attend the celebration in Khartoum, pointing to the holding of an informal workshop between the government delegation and the SPLM-North delegation led by Abdulaziz Adam Al-Hilu in order to reach an agreement on the contentious issues in preparation for the direct official dialogue between the two parties.

Consular Tut Galwak noted that President Salva Kiir Mayardt, had extended invitation to the Leader of the Sudan Liberation Movement, Abdul Wahid Mohammed Nur, to join the peace march in order to achieve security, stability and comprehensive peace in Sudan.

On his part, Dr. Al-Hadi Idris, the head of the Sudanese Revolutionary Front, has confirmed that the government delegation and the parties of the peace process agreed, in the presence of the Southern Sudan’s mediation team, to set the 15th of next November as a new date for the arrival of the leaders of the SRF to Khartoum to celebrate the peace agreement.

“The 15th of November will be a great day during which a big celebration will be organized in Khartoum on the occasion of the signing of the Juba Peace Agreement,” he said.
