Sovereignty Informed on Performance of Sudan Sugar Company

Khartoum,  (SUNA) – Member of the Sovereignty Council, Ayesha Musa Al-Saeed, has directed the Sudan Sugar Company to give due concern to the conditions of workers at the sugar companies in the country and enhancing their wages.

During her meeting Wednesday at the Republican Palace with the Director General of Sudan Sugar Company, Saif-Eddin Sulieman, the member of the Sovereignty Council was briefed on performance of Sudan Sugar Company and the start of the production season 2019 – 2020 which was launched at Al-Genaid Sugar Factory.

The Director General of Sudan Sugar Company said in a press statement that the member of the Sovereignty Council has given a special concern to the prices of the production in the current season, pointing out that the prices have not yet been determined as the prices depend on determination of the final costs in the 2020 budget.

He added that the meeting also reviewed challenges facing the company, including customs exemption and subsidized fuels used for the factories .
