PM meets the Secretary-General of the Italian Sant’ Abjedo Organization

Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hamdouk, met today, in his office, in the Council of Ministers Secretary-General of the Italian Sant’ Abjedo Association, Paolo Ampelchiazzo

The meeting discussed the Rome initiative for negotiations between the Government of National Unity in Southern Sudan and the non-signatories armed movements, the challenges facing the parties to the peace process, and the efforts being exerted by the Saint Abjedo community to facilitate political dialogue in Southern Sudan

The meeting also discussed the regional issues in the Horn of Africa and the political transition in Sudan.

He pointed out that the Saint Abjido Association will work jointly with the Special Envoy to reach lasting peace in South Sudan
