nvestment Minister: Government keen on joint cooperation with South Sudan

Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Dr. Al-Hadi Mohamed Ibrahim has affirmed the government’s keenness to consolidate the  relations between Sudan and the Republic of South Sudan by facilitating the movement of trade, investment and economic cooperation between the two countries.

The Minister of Investment affirmed when he received at his office today his South Sudanese counterpart Dr. Dhieu Mathok that joint cooperation between the two countries is among the priorities of the government, referring to the gains that the two countries can reap.

For his part, Dr. Mathok called for maintaining close cooperation and coordination between the two ministries, especially in the field of investment and trade, calling for opening the crossings between the two countries.

The meeting discussed areas of cooperation between Sudan and South Sudan, especially in the field of investment and trade and opening of crossings to facilitate the movement of trade and investment in addition to cooperation in the fields of railways, ports, river transport and agricultural industrialization.
