Juba, (SUNA) – The mediation announced that it had received the recommendations and decisions of the Eastern Sudan Consultative Conference held in Khartoum regarding the East Track.
The mediation member, Dio Matok, said in a press statement this evening, following a negotiation session between the government delegation headed by Lieutenant-General Shams al-Din Kabashi and the delegation of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N) chaired by Malik Aggar, noted that government’s delegation, has demanded the scheduling of negotiation of the Track for two weeks, explaining that the mediation will meet to decided on the government’s delegation request.
Dio Matok, pointed out that the government delegation and the (SPLM-N) Malik Aggar wing, have continued during the evening session’s discussion of the governance system within the two regions track.
The negotiating parties will resume negotiations on the track on Monday; meanwhile, Dio Matok, stressed the continuation of negotiations on the Darfur and the two regions tracks, and includes the North Track in the negotiations next week.
