Manis Describes Outcome of Sudanese – Djiboutian Talks as Positive and Important

Djibouti,  (SUNA) – The Sudanese and Djiboutian sides Sunday held joint talks in the context of the visit of the Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hamdouk, to Djibouti.

The Cabinet Affairs Minister, ambassador Omer Manis, has described outcome of the talks as positive and important for strengthening the relations between the two countries.

He said that the two sides have agreed to press ahead in the cooperation and coordination for the interest of the two countries.

Manis reviewed at the meeting the roadmap of Sudan during its chairmanship of the IGAD for guaranteeing security and stability and exchanging benefits between the member states.

He also shed light on the plans and efforts of Sudan for cooperation with the Horn of African countries and riparian states in order to address common security threats and to combat terrorism.

Meanwhile, the Djiboutian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and government spokesman, Mahmoud Ali Yousif, has reviewed outcome of the joint meeting which were focused on reactivation of the joint committees and the agreements signed between the two countries.

He affirmed the keenness of Djibouti to support Sudan at all forums and in its current chairmanship to the IGAD.
