Governor announces security plan to protect agricultural season in N. Darfur

The Wali (governor) of North Darfur State Nimir Mohamed Abdel-Rahman has announced that the security committee in the state is preparing a security plan which includes formation of a security force for protecting the agricultural season and controlling security violations in the state.

Abdel-Rahman said in a meeting with journalists and media persons held today in Al-Fashir that the protection of agricultural season and availability of farming inputs constitutes top priority of the state’s program for the current stage.

He added that the security plan also includes maintaining security at hotbed areas in the state.
