Foreign Minister Holds Talks with Her Russian Counterpart

)-The joint  talks between the Foreign Minister, Dr Mariam Al Sadiq Al Mahdi and her Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov were held here today Monday.

The two  sides underscored  depth of bilateral relations  and that the two Ministers discussed  enhancement of  relations in various domains, reactivation of mechanism of bilateral work  representing the  Sudanese-Russian ministerial committee for economic and trade cooperation  and  committee  for political consultation and that  the two  Ministers  affirmed the necessity  of boosting  cooperation  in areas  of culture, training and capacity builading.

The two sides also exchanged views over a host of regional and international issues  and  joint coordination  within framework of  the international organizations .

At the end of the meeting the Foreign Minister extended an invitation  to her Russian counterpart  to visit Sudan.
