FM receives credentials of British Ambassador

Khartoum,  (SUNA) – Foreign Minister, Dr. Mariam Al-Sadig Al-Mahdi received, on Sunday, the new Ambassador of the United Kingdom and North Ireland Giles Lever on the occasion of presentation of a copy of his credential as Ambassador for his country to Sudan.

The minister affirmed the deeply-rooted relations between Sudan and Britain, expressing Sudan’s desire to develop these relations, especially in light of this new and important phase of the country’s history.

The British diplomat expressed his country’s readiness to support the democratic transition process and develop the bilateral relations through strategic and constructive dialogue, adding that his country will provide services to Sudan in the fields of vocational training, training of diplomats and reactivation of the related laws.
