Ben Helli: Khartoum Declaration Document would be one of the key references in joint Arab action to combat terrorism
Khartoum, (SUNA) – The Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League Ambassador Ahmed Ben Helli underlined , when he addressed Friday at the Friendship Hall the activities of concluding session of the workshop on the “Role of the Arab Media in the Fight of Terrorism Phenomenon”, that the Khartoum Declaration, would be one of the key references in the field of joint Arab action to fight terrorism along the lines of the previous outcomes and resolutions, which have become bearing the name of Khartoum.
Ben Helli praised Sudan continuing support to the efforts of the Arab League to perform its national mission, affirming Sudan’s commitment and its permanent standing to strengthen the role of the Arab League and the development of joint Arab action in support of Arab causes, referring to the stable Sudanese political positions.
Ben Helli revealed that constellation of political and intellectual dignitaries as well as specialists and journalists from Sudan, the Arab States and the General Secretariat of the Arab League participated in the forum.
Ben Helli pointed out that Sudan has provided all the capabilities, the favorable climate and appropriate arguments to this intellectual dialogue to search for the most efficient way possible approaches to be performed in the framework of the inclusive confrontation, which led by the Arab states to eliminate the scourge of terrorism
The Assistant Secretary General of the Arab League praised the contributions of International University of Africa in the success of gathering by the organization of a significant symposium focused on the adoption of centrism and moderation in the handling of religious and jurisprudential matters, praising Sudan’s experience in combating this lesion (of terrorism).
