Daglo: Sudan is going through critical period that requires national consensus

First Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, has said that Sudan is going through critical stage during which it faces great security, economic, political and social challenges that can only be overcome by reaching a national consensus for resolving them.

The First Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council welcomed the initiative of the Prime Minister when addressing today celebrations at Al-Saaha Square in Al-Genaina, capital of West Darfur State,  inauguration ceremony of the Governor of West Darfur State Khamis Abdalla Abbkar, in the presence of Members of the Transitional Sovereign Council Malik Agar and Al-Hadi Idris, calling for the assimilation of all national initiatives aimed at a solution to achieve the goals of the transitional period and get out of the current crisis in order to preserve the stability of the country.

Daglo added that the inauguration of the Governor of West Darfur affirms that implementation of the peace agreement is pressing ahead and confirm the seriousness of the government and the signatory parties to peace in implementing the agreement to set an example in abiding by covenants and pacts, adding that today’s occasion reflects indications that Darfur is entering the stage of recovery
