Daglo Informed on Situation in South Darfur State

The Vice – President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander of the Rapid Support Forces, Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, received in his office on Tuesday the Wali (governor) of South Darfur State, Musa Mahdi, and got informed on the political, economic and security situation in South Darfur State.

In a press statement after the meeting, the state’s Wali (governor) said that he informed the Vice – President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council on the situation in South Darfur State, especially regarding the tribal disputes.

He indicated the security situation in the state is witnessing tangible stability thanks to the role of the Rapid Support Forces in securing the citizens, the return of the displaced persons to the home villages and the cultivation season, in addition to its role in the settlement of tribal disputes and holding community reconciliations.

He announced that the First Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council donated a cleaning company to South Darfur State with all its equipment and vehicles.

The Wali (governor) said that the Rapid Support Forces the Rapid Support Forces were able to penetrate areas under the control of the Abdul-Wahid Mohamed Nour’s movement in Jebel Marra to bring students for the Certificate exams in the Kass area last year, adding that the Rapid Support Forces are working this year to bring students to take exams and to return,
