The delegation of special envoys to Sudan and South Sudan from United Kingdom, Norway and United States (Troika) paid visit to Kauda yesterday to meet SPLM-N -Abdel Aziz al-Hilo together with the Special Representative of the Secretary General to Sudan Volker Perthes. The UK Embassy to Khartoum said in statement over its Facebook page that the success of the Sudan transition needs all its people, applauding the efforts of the government of Sudan and the SPLM-N al-Hilo to reach a peace agreement. The statement pointed out that signing up by both parties the Declaration of Principles on 28 March shows that it is possible to move forward on important issues like separation of state and religion. It stated that they encouraged the SPLM-N National Liberation Council to build on this success, join the New Sudan and help bring about lasting peace.
