Al-Burhan addresses global summit on Corona virus

Khartoum,  (SUNA) – The Head of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Lieutenant-General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, has virtually addressed the global summit on the Corona pandemic, which was called for by the US President Joe Biden.

Head of the Transitional Sovereign Council indicated that this summit on the Corona pandemic comes at a critical time of the world history during which the virus posed a challenge and a threat to the peoples of the world with its wide spread, and the difficulty of controlling it with the severe damage it caused to humanity.

Al-Burhan has affirmed the Sudan’s determination to join the United States of America and all countries of the world in the commitment to eradicate the Corona pandemic to build strong global health security.

He stressed on the importance of teamwork to confront the challenges facing the response to eradicating this pandemic in order to save the lives of the peoples of the world by providing vaccines for all peoples and full health care.

He pointed to the several measures taken by the Sudan and the setting of standards to measure the eradication of the pandemic, asserting the Sudan’s need for support and assistance from the international community in order to confront this dreaded virus.

The Head of the Sovereign Council has expressed hope for the success of the summit and for agreeing on the proposed draft goals that are agreed upon and the work to achieve it.

It is worth noting that the Head of the Sovereign Council received an official invitation from US President Joe Biden to participate in the global summit on the Corona virus
